XL Bully's and Dangerous Dogs

Yesterday, an XL Bully Dog was seized following community intelligence reports that the dog had been walked without a muzzle or on a lead in Ebbw Vale.

Officers conducted checks and confirmed that the dog was not registered. Appropriate action has been taken in accordance with the current legislation regarding dangerous dogs to ensure the safety of the public.

We will continue to deal with reports of dangerous dogs and those that are subject to registration conditions to ensure the safety of our communities in Blaenau Gwent.

If you have concerns about Dangerous Dogs or suspected banned breeds, please report them to Police.  We want to make Blaenau Gwent safer and we can do this with your help.  You can report incidents to us by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency or, alternatively, reporting through the Gwent Police Website.
